Two curricula, one standard

Alliance Girls' is in the national transition from 8-4-4 to the Competency-Based Curriculum. Today the school educates its first CBC Senior School learners alongside the final 8-4-4 candidates — to the same exacting standard.

CBC Senior School

The three pathways

Every Senior School learner takes the core subjects, then specialises in a pathway suited to her strengths and ambitions.

STEM

Sciences, mathematics and the technologies — Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Agriculture, Home Science and the technical studies.

Social Sciences

Humanities, languages and commerce — History & Citizenship, Geography, Business Studies, Literature, religious studies and foreign languages.

Arts & Sports Science

Creative and sporting excellence — Fine Arts, Music & Dance, Theatre & Film, and Sports & Recreation.
